JACQUEMUS
Simon Porte Jacquemus is a French fashion designer. He founded his eponymous brand, Jacquemus, in 2009 at 19 years old. Jacquemus quickly made a name for himself with his bold, minimalistic designs and avant-garde approach to fashion. He is known for his use of oversized silhouettes, bold colors, and asymmetrical cuts.
In 2011, Jacquemus presented his first collection at Paris Fashion Week, drawing attention for his use of oversized shapes and his ability to make it look effortless. He gained international acclaim in 2014 when he won the LVMH Prize for Young Fashion Designers. In the following years, Jacquemus has continued to gain recognition and accolades, with his collections being featured in Vogue and other fashion publications. He was appointed Creative Director of Balenciaga’s women’s ready-to-wear.
High-profile celebrities have worn Jacquemus’ designs such as Rihanna, Emily Ratajkowski, and Bella Hadid. He has also been a guest judge on the television series “Project Runway” and “Next in Fashion.” The brand has expanded to include a range of accessories, shoes, and bags.
